Education is an atmosphere, a discipline and a life.quote

If you desire to teach in a school where the culture is one of service, the academic standards are among the highest, and the teachers are highly respected, then we welcome you to consider Clapham School.

We are looking for teachers who:
  • love the Lord
  • love children
  • are passionate about teaching, particularly in a classical school that leverages Charlotte Mason's philosophy of education
  • are teachable
  • feel called to help nuture and develop a community that is dependant on the gospel
  • manifest a love for learning in their own lives

Benefits of Teaching at Clapham

  • Proven curriculum. We have chosen texts that inspire both teacher and student alike.  Our outside consultants advise us on these texts to ensure we have seasoned educators evaluating what we choose.
  • Extensive training. We provide several weeks of formal training before school starts and bring in seasoned consultants to train the staff periodically throughout the year. In addition, teachers occasionally travel to other schools similar in pedagogy to observe and are encouraged to attend conferences or seminars annually to provide further educational growth.
  • Shorter school days. Our schedule at Clapham has six hours of instructional time per day with full-time teachers able to take planning breaks during specialty classes such as Art, Music, Latin, or P.E.
  • Administrative support. Despite being a new school, Clapham has already committed the resources to help our teaching staff excel. This includes specialty teachers (Art, Music, Latin, French, Spanish and P.E.) as well as administrative support in the school office.
  • Great Benefits. We have a terrific program that ranks above most private schools: Blue Cross/Blue Shield health care program; retirement plan; vision benefits; short term/long term disability, and more.

Our goal is to recruit and retain teachers who can contribute to the lives of our students for many years. Clapham is committed to maintaining policies and building supportive infrastructures to encourage teachers to make a career of teaching at Clapham.

We encourage you to learn more about Clapham School to see if it is a place where you could thrive as a teacher!
